My passion and skill is in understanding and breaking down a problem and then working as a team to figure it out, through one-on-one consulting or group facilitation.


What Types of Problems?

While I love to dig into all sorts of problems, my particular specialties include:

Communications and Marketing Strategy: At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how brilliant our product or service is if the right people don’t know about it. Who are those people? How do they need to hear the message? How will they want to act on it? Finally, do you have a realistic plan for you and your team to implement consistently? I can help you develop a big-picture strategy and a detailed execution plan that works for you, your team, and the people who need to hear from you.

Developing Realistic and Concrete Operational Plans: You know what you need to do, but you and your team seem to be struggling in working together to get it done. Maybe people keep “stepping on each other’s toes” or leads through the cracks a little too often. I can help you assess timelines, work plans, and overall structure to build operational plans that work. (This may require getting to the heart of the matter…)

Getting to the Heart of the Matter: Why are you doing this work in the first place? How do your core values and your mission show up in your day-to-day? Whether you are creating something new, or your once-thriving team is feeling unfocused, unmotivated, or like something is missing, I can help you not only clarify your why, but embed your values, mission, and vision into your policies, procedures, and everyday operations. (In other words, let’s incorporate your “why” into your “how.”)

I apply an intersectional, anti-oppression lens to all my work. I take a systems-based, human approach to understanding priorities and barriers, and developing strategy and detailed execution plans.

At the end of the day, businesses are made of up human beings, working together, in relationship to one another and the communities they serve, and our strategies and solutions will reflect that.


How it Works

Whether you know exactly what the problem is you need to solve, or you know something is wrong but can’t quite put your finger on it, reach out! Just because you’re the leader, doesn’t mean you need to solve everything all by yourself. And the last thing you need is to be handed another strategy that collects virtual dust in a file. Let me be your outside perspective to work with you and your team to establish a working plan that works for you.


About Me

I have a degree in Theatre and Psychology from UBC and have trained with Banff Centre for the Arts Cultural Leadership program, and CRHC’s Talent2Lead with Howard Jang. I pursue ongoing decolonizing and anti-oppressive, anti-racist training, including with Hummingbirds Rising Consulting, the KAIROS Blanket Exercise, Nicole Brewer’s Anti-Racist Theatre, QMUNITY, and Nahanee Creative. I have contributed as an organizational and department leader at various arts and culture non-profits and understand how systems and people interact in business.
